REST IN PEACE: Margret Thatcher, the “Iron Lady”

She was not only a groundbreaking and hugely influential leader for the United Kingdom but she was a great supporter and ally of the United States during one of the most hotly contested and controversial wars in human history, the Cold War.

A great friend of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, she was truly deserving of her title. The first female Prime Minister of Great Britain steered her country from disaster in the term of office.

Honestly I don’t think that Ronald Reagan’s Presidency would have been quite as hard hitting without her support. Seeing the photo of her touching the casket of her dear friend (bottom), a true American hero, should remind you that those who lead our countries are human just like us. The reverence in that photo is hard to put into words.

God be with you, Margret Thatcher. Your contributions will not be forgotten and your presence will be missed, even here in the United States.

On a personal note: Give Ron my regards, ma’am.
